NFR: Domain registration and hosting

Does anyone know of a good company that offers domain name registration and or hosting?  I am thinking of starting a website (NFR) and would like a basic (cheap) package that allows me to upgrade later if the need arises.  I think I will probably go with a .ca domain name.

My wife's scout group uses gogax.com

We chose them because they host ASPX.Net  (web programming language) so that we can do some simple dev work on the site.
