Sasamat Lake, Buntzen Lake in Port Moody.
Deer Lake in Burnaby.
Rice Lake in North Vancouver.
Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam.
Mike Lake in Maple Ridge.
Mill Lake in Abbotsford.
Alice and Brohm Lakes in Squamish.
Green Timbers Lake in Surrey.

Pick one. ;)

Keep in mind that Lafarge Lake will be busy on Saturday and Rice Lake will be busy on Sunday due to the family fishing events. If you are looking for information on how to fish better, then these events are for you, otherwise, choose one of the other lakes which will be more peaceful. All of the above mentioned lakes are being stocked this week. Check the stocking status the end of this week at:

Good luck.

JK, please consider rewording the above post and think before posting in the future (I know, new to the forum syndrome, it happens to almost everyone when they first started).

Yes, there will be many people attending the Rice Lake event on Sunday, but no, it will not be a "disaster" and stop telling people to stay away. The event is designed to promote and educate people such as yourself to get involved in fishing. The organizers at the Seymour Salmonid Society put in countless hours to put together an event that can accommodate over 1,000 people. Show some appreciation please.

As I mentioned in the previous post, if you are looking for peace and solitude, go to a lake where no events are being hosted this weekend. If you are looking for more information and improving your fishing success (not just at the lake, but local rivers etc), then Rice Lake and other Family Fishing Weekend venues are for you this weekend. A list of events can be found at:

Lastly, asking questions is good, but please do a search on the forum before asking as most questions have already been answered many times in the past. Search at:
