Talking about Jim Rome on the other thread, I remembered when Jim Everett took him out. This is why I don't like Rome, here is a guy that clearly played no sports making fun of a guy that is a professional athlete, and thinking that the camara is going to protect him.

I wish Everett had beaten him on that fine day !! then we wouldn't have to turn the radio off for a couple of hours every day when he is on there spewing his crap !!

I like Rome, listen to him everday in the warehouse...you have to listen more then a few times to get him...and there is nothing else on except ad nose um canuck what if crap...but then you gotta have a little spark upstairs to get him....maybe that's your problem Freak.. Don't think Rick needs a new puppy but keep trying..

Its called HUMOUR If your a sports fan you will get him and take it for what its worth. He has had some amazing interviews with some of the greats of the past and present. How many canadian sports reporters have had the greats on their shows? None.

Don Cherry goes on there semi regular...he's excellent on Rome as is Steve Elkington..some insanely funny stories...hated him at first, listen daily now...don't have to have someone else tell me what I like  Hey, thought you were staying out of our drama pit??? hee hee, to tempting sometimes...interior produce for you this weekend??

Gotta like Jim Rome's act!  Too funny and if he got his my friend kicked by Jim "Don't call me Chris" Everett then at least he's willing to do what he thinks he needs to do to keep the show going.  You have to admire someone who isn't willing to let anyone tell him what to do on his show, regardless of whether he's right or not.  Now to do it to someone who has the physical tools to kick your my friend maybe might take some rethinking.......

Caught some nice fish up there. Going back in the fall again as it was just awesome. This weekend heading to a Merritt lake.

Not getting into the drama. I have been listening to Rome for some 6 or 7 years. Even watched his TV show when he had it. Many regulars on the show that respect the guy. He wouldnt get all these good interviews if he was not respected. Most have not listened to the show long enough to understand him. If you have only listened to his shows a handful of time you wont get it.

Yup I remember something like that. He was hard to get used to but after listening to him for a while you learn to realize when he is serious and when is just screwing around. Professional athletes all know him and know his humour. Thats why they are always coming on the show.

All the lakes are getting going. Most have turned over and ready to roll. That was my first trip with the frog boat and I am very happy with it.

I watch him on ESPN and I don't think he's funny at all, his side of view is for the weak sports fan that does not know alot about sports. I'm not saying I know a lot, but I see threw his short sightedness of a sports view. All he dose is exploit the obvious.

If he ever talked about a sport that I care about I might listen to him more often, listening to him talk about baseball, basketball and football all day every day doesn't do it for me !! hence the reason I turn the radio off when he is on !
