Isn't that the little mezzanine upstairs where a person can't even stand up straight?
Been years since I was in there-Nikka sells everything a person needs for better prices in a much cleaner better run more organised store.
Better prices @ Nikka too and PN&T down the street is always worth checking out.

I would have to disagre with Sam. Steveston Marine has a good selection of fishing items for very reasonable prices sometimes even better than than Nikka and other bigger stores. They have come along way.

I have been brought in to the Vancouver store to lend 20 plus years of fishing experience, including salt, river and lake fishing as well as several years of local fishing retail experience. It is hoped that Steveston Marine can "hold it's own" in the local industry. We will match any price from our competitors. The Vancouver store on west 3rd and Fir is at the moment primarily salt water oriented though we do have the basics for local river fishing, rods reels, tackle and we now carry procured roe. We also carry frozen anchovie and herring for the salt boys.  I intend to expand the inventory very shortly to include all the staples for local salmon and steelhead and will slowly work freshwater lake tackle into the mix as well. With the demise of the next closest all around tackle shop, we at Steveston Marine downtown would like to step up and fill the void somewhat. I will also be offering custom rod building services and rod repairs, something not done at Steveston Marine in the past(dwntwn only). It is good to have choices in where you shop and we welcome customers to check out our stores.
As far as the employment opportunity, these are great people to work for and I intend to stick around for a good long time.
