Public meeting on hatcheries. Come one and all!

The B.C. Federation of Drift Fishers has finalized dates for a full day
PUBLIC  symposium on Hatchery Benefits/Impacts. We believe this meeting
will be of great interest to many & may dispel some of the myths regarding
hatchery enhancement of stocks. Speakers will include Dr E. Brannon from
Moscow University in Idaho, Fisheries & Oceans speakers  & representatives
from  MOE & Fresh Water Fisheries Society. Meeting format will be
presentations then panel session to answer questions.    This is advance
notice.     More details will follow.

Location:  BCIT in Burnaby

Date:         April 29th

Time:      0900 to approx 1600

Coffee & Lunch available

I'm hoping Rod will be there filming!!!! I'm working all day, so can't make it...If anyone feels inclined to film some of the more pertinent points during the seminar, that'd be great....I realize it's like an all day thing, so probably not possible to get the whole thing on film...but maybe someone will get some of the presentations?

Hi I attended and thought it was a well balanced presentation that clearly showed that Hatcheries and other enhancement tools clearly benifit the fisheries and that hatcheries have no genetic impact the progency from hatchery fish are wild an the same as those with wild parents.
