Two recommendations.

http://www.westcoastrivercharters.ca

Many members on this forum have tried these two, so I'll let them provide their personal experiences.

Nick from West Coast River Charters is my go to.
Been going with him for last 6 yrs now.
Been with all the mentioned above and they are good but Nick is more entertaining.
Really knows the river and finds you fish.
Was there last month and we had a great time and fishing was great.
Heading back over in March. Can't wait.

I would also highly recommend checking out/talkin with Ian who runs the Rambling fisherman out of Port Alberni (250-218-1087)...
https://www.facebook.com/RamblingFisherman?fref=ts
http://www.ramblingfisherman.com/

.....top notch guide, friendly and informative...always gets you into plenty of fish....guide that really really loves/enjoys his job and it shows!!!......and the best part.....VERY reasonably priced!!!....also just a great guide in general.
Highly doubt he would dissapoint!.....and no I am in no way affiliated with him or his outfit.....just personal exp as well as word of mouth from others and great recommendations from no less that a half dozen of my closer friends.

Another vote for nick at West Coast River Charters, more experienced than The Rambling Fisherman IMO. He costs a bit more, but u get what u pay for.

I have always used Murphy's sport fishing! Never , ever had to look any further than that! Great guys and run a great outfit, tons of experience year round and actively involved in the fisheries management. Always a good time with them. Never fails whether the fishing is good or not.

All good guides.I used to fish alot with the great Greg Mcinroy who no longer guides there.Heres a little history and i have no affiliation with Kenny Myers the fishmyster. He once was one of David Murphys guides. But got tired of working for somebody else and starting working for himself. He was the first guide that had enough balls to run the "bucket". And was the only one fishing the past the bucket in a his jet propelled zodiac, when the steelhead starting shooting through the lower end and staging up in the slide and falls pool in big numbers and have been the last several yrs.Rollie and Josh (Murphys guides) copied what Kenny was doing in order to compete. Have alot of respect for the man who chose to be his own boss and had the foresight to reconize the fishery was a changing and the balls to do what nobody had ever done before.

Kenny Myers is the man on the Stamp. He also runs a mean program at Ukie in the summer especially since he got his new boat, it's a rocket!

Salt ONLY for this Redneck!  ;)

I've thought about and actually been asked a couple of times. Guess it all boils down to Greed on my part. I guide a fair amount in the chuck, and intentionally take January through March off for the sole purpose of chasing steelhead. And while I do share a fair bit of that with Buddies, that is MY Time. Guiding would take something away from that for me. So, I made the conscious decision not to do that, and am Happy wallowing in my Greed!  :D
