Coquitlam Hatcheries Question

Does anyone out there volunteer at the Coquitlam Hatcheries?  I'm looking for a place to give some back instead of always taking.  I'm looking for some suggestions.  Thanks.

If I am not wrong, a guy (Al?) used to do most of the work, and the volunteers from Poco Fish & Game Club. But I heard that Al is not around anymore. Love to volunteer some hours when I retire. My home overlooks the Coquitlam at the Colony Farm. A lovely river, just too bad the Cewe boys and the Hydro destroy the river, the former with the gravel mines, and the latter by pumping away the water to Buntzen Lake for power generation.

You are right and Al's freing Vance Reach took over in Al's stead.

I had the oppurtunity to go up into the coquitlam watershed several years ago. Went in about 40 km almost to squamish. Went passed the lake and up along the upper coquitlam river, it is absalutly amazing. As soon as you pass the last gravel operation it is a totally different river. I to worked at one of the gravel pits in the area and I must say it is a crime what they are doing to the river. Once inside the gate of the watershed the river is gin clear and flowing like any other wild river with some beutiful fishing water. It is to bad that more people don't get to see what the river is truly like above the gravel operations, because it would really hit the fan once people saw the difference first hand.

No I was working for a redi mix concrete company, we were pouring concrete at a natural gas pump station out in the middle of no were.
