Hey it's just starting to turn cold.  Trout fishing should be at it's best now.  Especially around 5:30pm to sunset.

I find that the bite is on at Sasamat either early afternoon (1 - 3ish) or later on.  I have had no luck in the morning.  I limited out on Sunday and caught and released 3 more after that all off of  the floating docks.  I do not float fish those lakes any more.  I find casting with a small spoon or lure to be way more productive.  I'll be up there again for a couple hours this Sat or Sun.

May have to try there soon also. In past years I found casting shrimp to be productive...Was anyone using this method?

5 years back i was hitting hatchery trout in Sardis pond on dough and worms, under a bobber.

They are all fairly similar in size - about 10" - 14" long.  Perfect for the pan! :)

Brohm Lake.
Lots of good trout.
12" - 15"
Never came home with less than 4.
Early morning before sunrise.
Bait and bobber, panther martins.

Ya - pretty regular to see people pulling them up with shrimp or worms under a bobber.  I just don't really have the patience to sit there and stare at my bobber! :)  I like the action of casting much better and it seemed to work better as well!
