Chilliwack Lake Boat Launch
« on: May 05, 2021, 07:11:28 PM »

Just wondering if anyone can provide some info on the Chilliwack Lake boat launch.  I have a trailered 16.5 foot walk thru windshield. Is it difficult for one person to launch here?? Any info on the launch or fishing would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not recommend for a fiberglass boat if your solo IMO. Also, if the lake is low, watch out for the prop wash at the tail end of the launch. It is tight at the bottom of the launch and come the weekend, people will often park their cars in the boat launch area making it impossible to turn around. If fishing, go early and avoid the crowds. The summer months it can be extremely busy. The lake also has speed restrictions around the lake shore that people often ignore.

The concrete ramp is in good condition. As mentioned it’s tight down at the launch and not easy to get turned around to get back up the hill. I have seen bigger boats launched there so it’s doable. Afternoons get windy and choppy on Chilliwack Lake. So watch out for the weather when your on the lake. Weekends are a complete zoo complete with tourists standing at the launch taking selfie’s and not wanting to move out of the way.
