Dream Boat
« on: March 02, 2013, 07:03:31 PM »

OK, guys and gals...it's butt nasty out, I'm sick with a man-cold, so I was wondering... What would your perfect river boat for the Fraser be, and how would you set it up? Dream on!

I am modest.
A Thunder Jet Maxim Classic would do it for me.

These are not jet boats but for the area of the Fraser where I've boated a lot (New Westminster to Richmond/Ladner to Sandheads ) these would be "super".
Arima Sea Explorer 15'11"/ Arima Sea Pacer 17 Fish On model / Arima Sea Chaser 17 /Arima Sea Ranger HT 19.

Or ... C Dory 19.

Or...Silver Streak alum 19 cabin ( or runabout HT )

Lastly a Double Eagle 17'6".

Only have been in a Sea Explorer 15'11" & found it was a very safe & stable boat but many times were in conditions that a bigger boat was needed.
Boating can be expensive so make sure ya get the boat of your dreams & kept it under cover & chained / secured & it will last ya for 40 years.

Won't fit in the Fraser so maybe park by the mouth of it?

It would fit in the Fraser. Cargo ships make it up almost to the patulla bridge daily.

Honestly. . Any boat would do. Just want to get out on the water. One day I will get a boat... one day...

Actually, imagine the casting you can do at Peg Leg with that roof access!
