backing amount for sinking line

I have a dragonfly 355 and i want to put a sinking line on it and am not sure how much backing i can put on it. i know you can put more on the reel then you can with a floating but but how much. any info would be appreciated thanks

What weight sinking line. What type sink rate? I can give you a rough guess, but there is no exact number. You want the reel nearly full to the rim when all the line is reeled on.

IF you like your reel to be Full, 150 yard of 20lb backing will do the trick.

You can put the flyline on the reel and then wind on backing until the spool is full. Cut it and strip it all off the reel . now wind the backing on then the flyline and you will have a full spool.

This is very good advice and the only way to be accurate-try it you will be happy.
