I wouldn't assume bass are in the lake. Not unless you have caught them yourself out of there.

My first trout was caught there...  that was 25+ years ago.  My buddy and I would beg our parents to drive us there and pick us up.  I stopped by a couple of years ago and was sad to see most of the water gone.  I figured the lake was dead but glad to hear that it has some life to it.  Not much of a carp fan but it might be a good place for a ultra light fly setup.

I caught some of my first fish there as well, mostly all sunfish I believe, but once and a while it was stocked. There was even a few occasions where they put in some left over broodstock. That was almost ten years ago though. It would be nice to see them stock it again, it's a great little place to teach kids to fish.
