where have all the bugs gone?
« on: January 02, 2006, 11:16:32 PM »

I went out to Centennial Beach last weekend to pump some bugs. I usually get all I need in 15-20 min, but I spent 2 hours out there and NO BUGS!!!    I talked to one guy who toll me a similar story.   Very frustrating

Anyone out there getting any Ghost Shrimp?    Is White Rock producing?

I too have noticed some very tough pumping conditions (lack of numbers) when that same beach has produced well before...I don't know much about the life cycle of ghost shrimp but when I arrive at a beach and find signs of pumping from that day and the day before, over harvesting does seem like a possible issue.
