Carp fishing August 7th
« on: August 07, 2004, 09:57:16 PM »

Had a chance to sneak out and do some carp fishing this evening. Not a whole lot of action, except the only fish that I hooked near the beginning. Had a few good hits after that, but missed them all. Some pix for you to enjoy.

Hey, if you buy a rod from www.rodandreel.ca, you get one of them hats AND a bag for your rod. 8)

Nice Fish!!!!

I went to Deer Lake this morning 6am until 9:20am. About 7 guys already there before me. Saw many small carp(3" - 4" tiny) caught off the boat dock. One guy was hand lining them in sans fishing rod.

Nothing for me.

We might go again tonight, all depends on work and several other factors.

Notice the pic with the fish... The fish just happened to have its dorsal fin extended fully, making it a fantastic picture. Scales were all fully intact, good colouration, shiny body, with slight orange shade on its pelvic, anal and caudal fins.

Nice fish Rodney. I took the puppy down there a few times but no one was fishing.
I'm trying to talk Jeff into coming one evening.

Yep, pretty quiet down there usually. ;) If you want to go this week, fire us a message and we just might tag along. Our only free day is Wednesday evening this week.... Otherwise it'll probably be the weekend.

Oops! Forgot to reply, had to go through 400 posts today, so I have an excuse. :)

No, I don't eat the carp... Too many other goodies in my freezer to eat. :)
