You'll have better odds fishing the vedder than the cap for steelhead, by allot.

No keep any steelhead out of cap and yes you need a tag.

water was great today.  Half a dozen anglers out in the lower end. beautiful day out.. No hook ups though.

I am hearing a few got lucky today(2 for sure), got to go out and pick up another wading jacket and then I will be ready to brave the elements :)

Rumor has it the only 2 fish in the river just moved up above the hatchery. Water is looking great.

There was another weighed in a freds today too. Went out in the snow for a drive to the river, but didnt fish, just had a beer and enjoyed the scenery. Water looked really nice and the snow definately made it feel like the season is apon us. Going to see what I can find next weekend.
