Attended the boat show in Vancouver but not the one in the valley. Looks like alot of things to see though.
Good we have Richmond represented with Galleon Marine (Yamaha & Campion boats)  I like their 19 ft boat...in the Campion lineup...I think it's the Explorer model with cuddy...Can power the boat with an outboard also. It would be great to load up that boat with camping supplies & cruise the Harrison Lake for a month !!! Fishing sun tanning etc....(mind you I'd own 4 boats if....had the "bucks" WISHFUL THINKING.)

Also Steveston Marine & Hardware...it's not a big store BUT they sure pack in the stuff....

Did a web study on Sooke about a month ago & it is a great place to go after salmon.
And the big plus is it's only 30 minutes drive from Victoria.
Maybe after the Olympics BC's tourist attendance will increase by leaps & bounds & many resorts,  fishing guides, on & on will have plenty of customers ...

Abbotsford, BC - Set your sights on the biggest and well-established 19th annual BC Boat & Sportsmen Show and the 7th annual BC Hunting Show, March 5-7, 2010 at Tradex in Abbotsford. Two great shows…at one price.

See the latest in gear from, boating, fishing, hunting, archery, camping supplies, hunting destinations, outfitters, ATV’s, camo gear, boats and the list goes on…If it’s outdoors, you will find it here.

Back by popular demand is Jim Shockey. Jim has been an award winning outdoor writer, wildlife photographer\videographer, wilderness guide and outfitter for the last two decades.

We are also pleased to welcome fishing guru Brian Chan. Chan has been an avid stillwater fly fisher and fly tier for over 35 years.  Brian is a professional fisheries biologist who for the past 30 years managed small lake recreational fisheries as well as promoting and marketing freshwater fishing in the province of British Columbia.

Taxidermist Specialist Jamie Reynolds grew up hunting and fishing all over BC. At a young age he began a life long love affair with the outdoors and particularly hunting.

Jamie is an accomplished hunter, with many nice trophies to display (and stories to tell about the one that got away).

All new for 2010 and sponsored by Shimano® is Canada’s Fishing Funnyman Dave Mercer! Host of television’s Facts of Fishing® THE SHOW and the Facts of Fishing Tip Series spends over 250 days a year fishing for just about anything that swims.

When he’s not fishing, he can also be seen at one of his many entertaining seminars held across Canada and the United States.

Dave is one of Canada’s most-watched fishing personalities who also produces radio programming as well as a series of highly acclaimed DVD’s.

ALL NEW FOR 2010 and Western Canada! Check out John Dowd and Sealegs! A unique amphibious marine craft that is sure to make all visitors take notice! This craft takes the hassle of loading the boat on a trailer right out of the equation! Visit www.sealegs.ca for all the details!

Another new addition for 2010 is the “Heads and Horns” features. Hunters and enthusiasts are invited to bring in the heads, horns and antlers for professional scoring. You just may have one for the books!

The excitement continues with over $20,000.00 in prizes to be won including a 2010 Can-am Outlander, an Adventure Fishing package courtesy of Alaska Airboats Canada, a houseboat vacation from Twin Anchors Houseboats, and a $6000.00 fishing trip from Sandspit Adventures.

Last time I went to a show - I came home with a truck.  :)

Going for the first time to this show... my missus is asking me NOT to come home with a boat.

Gee, I wonder if there will be anything else that may interest me...   ::)
