Snowbee Buzzer line
« on: December 26, 2009, 08:18:29 AM »

Can anybody give a report on this line?   Does it work for our stilllwater chroni fishing?

It should as buzzers are what the Limeys call chironomids. ;D

I am not sure if you have checked the specs, but this line is basically a sinktip line (the last three feet sinks). I personally use Rio's MidgeTip, and feel that it is the better line, as the tip section is clear - rather than being coloured, as is Snowbee's Buzzer line...

Here's a discussion on this very subject, that I had been following on a UK forum that I frequent: http://www.flyforums.co.uk/tackle-talk/25200-rio-midge-tip-versus-snowbee-buzzer-line.html

For me, the quality of a trout is not measured in pounds and inches, but rather by the journey and circumstances that allowed our paths to cross...

Sorry to hijack but, Todd, followed your link and then another link which led to buzzers for sale by a member named "Scratch". Oh my gawd, enough to make a chironomid junkie drool!

Now you know why I spend so much time on that site! ;)
The first pattern is VERY appealing don't you think...

Absolutely, not to mention a couple from the 2009 collection, particularly the ginger and the bloodworm. The last thing I need is some new ideas for chironomid patterns but that's what I came away with!
