Motel recommendations in Merritt
« on: September 28, 2014, 09:13:00 PM »

I'm an avid solo tenter... but early and late season, fall back on motels and television to pass away the longer night hours. Apart from the pricier Wyndym Group trio (S8, Ramada, Travelodge) along Voight St., would appreciate any recommendations on the cheaper motels in downtown Merritt... or any that I should avoid! My criteria would be no bed bugs; decent internet bandwidth; clean bathroom; geared to travellers rather than long-term residents.... Thanks!

Thanks! Maps indicates it was likely Merritt Desert Inn and I'll take that up. The Quilchena is a nice, quaint Douglas Ranch hotel out in .... Quilchena... north of Nicola Lake. I stayed there early season where they were offering a package that included fishing the private lakes.... I picked Big Sabin.
