Krill dye
« on: March 21, 2013, 09:38:46 AM »

So I bought some krill from a pet food store yesterday to try Kok fishing as I will have a couple people in my boat. I have 2 questions.
Is it necessary to dye the krill?
What do you use to dye/scent them? The obvious reason for me would be pautzkes egg cure because it has krill in it and comes in many colors. Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance!

I just sprinkle red Pautzke Bait FireCure all over them in a jar and shake it prior to the trip. They seem to work well, sometimes. ;)

Also sprinkling some coarse salt over them helps toughen them up a bit

Is red Pautzke Bait FireCure better than Pro Cure Fuorescent Pink? That is the one used by the kind gentleman who gave me some of his dyed krills as a sample (as mentioned in my post in fishing report) and he caught his fish left & right too.
