Norrish Creek
« on: September 12, 2022, 08:54:28 AM »

Walking the dog on Sunday and was amazed by what I saw on Norrish Creek.
Very little flow above the train bridge and 100 yards below the train bridge there is no water at all. Where would it go?  Must go into the ground and flow out to the Dewdney.  Very strange look to see no water at all below the bridge.   There has been gravel extraction again this year with 4 or 5 pits dug out above and below the bridge.  Will be interesting when the rain comes where the flow will go,  lots of loose gravel around could change the flow below the bridge.

...... water is at the  bottom of the 6-8 feet of gravel deposited during the Nov floods...as you saw work is ongoing to remove it....
