Very difficult to catch them without using roe but some say jigs work too bugs etc would work.

Great video Chris!
It reminded me of fishing for summer coho when a large school of fresh jacks came up to a pool.
I was fishing a small spoon and and hooking up on every other cast.
These little jacks will jump all over the place and self release after a dose of fun.
I didn't retain any as they were small, but were loads of fun on light gear. ;D

This one was about 14 inches. they run from that size up to 19 with the average around 15 or 16 inches. Not big I know but lots of fun hooking them and getting lots of bites. Landing them is another story, even with 2 hands.  ;D ;D

I still can't figure out how you managed to land that jack and still shoot the video. ;D
In my case, I was catching coho jacks which were like 10 to 12 inches, quite a bit smaller than your jack springs.
