Going to Osoyoos Lake...
« on: March 16, 2012, 06:00:04 PM »

Hey guys, I don't do much lake fishing but I will be heading to Osoyoos lake for a few days next week and thought, what the heck, I may as well bring a couple rods with me.

I will be fishing from the beach/dock and will have my spinning and fly rods on me.

I've heard of lots of carp, bass, trout and even kokanee being caught in there but i have no clue where to start haha.

Any info/tips would be greatly appreciated!

Okanagan Lake does not freeze up so does Osoyoos ?  Water running in & out of lakes...

Some of the surrounding lakes do freeze up.

Ice fishing not so popular as in the Prince George etc area.

From what I understand Osoyoos lake does freeze up.  The Osoyoos Lake Sailing club has a pool for when it ices off.

Haynes point prov. Park will give you plenty of shore access anyways, use to pull small mouth out of the reeds as a kid.
