I own both the Sage CT2106 and the CT3106B and I love them both (this coming from someone that has fished lamis and loomis for the past 5 years).  The 3106 is better suited for Springs and Thompson Steelhead as it is fairly beefy.  The 2106 is perfect for vedder coho, steelhead and chums and could probably handle a few spring or two. The fit and finish of their factory drift rods are excellent and of course there is the Sage action which makes fighting fish a joy and releasing fish a breeze.  Can't wait to try out my 3106CP rod next week!

thats a tough one.....
for small flows original model sage 2106
for vedder ho's and steel original model sage 3106
for thompson and fraser, Talon is the best hands down, LT2 for steel and M2 for springs

gotta admire my 7' graphite composite daiwa medium action rod!  bought it like a decade ago, and it has been getting the tough jobs done so far!  this is the rod i used extensively this year before i bought my new shimano convegence.  it fough tons of trouts, it caught me my first salmon (pink) and my first coho back in octorber, my first chum, which was a 20 pounder  :o  and tons of chums after chums.  one more great advantage about the rod is, it handles really comfortably.

River (spinning) - Shimano Convergence
River (levelwind) - Loomis Frontier
Ocean (mooching) - Lamiglas (custom red rod)
Ocean (halibut) - Berkley roughneck
Fly (heavier) - Sage
Fly (lighter) - Loop

I would love for pretty much all of these catagories to be full of Sages, but the costs add up  :-\

And they wonder why I need more than one rod  ::) ;D

Absolutely love the Sage so should it come as a surprise that all my rods are Sage ? I also have a Talon for the big springs and chums.

I have a ton of rods and my favorite is probably my Orvis Clearwater 3wt Flyrod. We'll see about the Lamiglass when I go out for steelhead.
