Got my roe bags all tied up and ready to go. Just hope the river is going to co-operate with this rainfall.

Come on boys lets here how it went I'm curious as unfortunately I have been so sick with the flu I couldn't make it out and take part . Went by Riverside to pick up my reel today and Jordan said that one guy had a 8 footer on for nearly an hour but he lost he was in the Derby that one must of hurt when the line went slack .

Derby was very successful. Randofish from FishBC won it with a fish 78" long and took home $1120.00 On behalf of Riverside I would like to thank everyone that attended and made the derby so successful. My boat landed 7 fish in the end but no big bad bruisers. Clayton hooked into a fish well over 8', was drifting with it for over an hour and it managed to put itself under a log and break him off.

Look back in the spring time when we have the next one. :)

Here's a picture of the winning fish.

And a shot of a couple of the boats from the derby at the meeting spot.

I had two buddies in my boat and we took home 2nd and third place with a 71 & 72'' fish. We landed 8 fish and lost a couple more. I got a new Trophy XL Sturgeon rod to match the other one I already have.

Thanks to Riverside for putting on such a great event. See you guys in May for the next one.
