Terrace fishing information needed
« on: February 03, 2008, 10:36:24 AM »

Looking to do a trip up to the Terrace area for a change of scenery in April or May.  Anyone know first hand if it is possible to fish the Skeena and tributaries with out a boat.  Are you able to walk the river and fish different runs and pools?
Any information would be appreciated
Cheers

The short answer is Yes all kinds of places to fish from shore all kinds of rivers to choose from-have only fished the mainstream Skeena from a boat but guys were on shore as well.

Have a look @ the info on Noel Gygers site http://www.noelgyger.ca he has a newsletter he sends out every Sunday and the back pages of his site have all kinds of catch info.

Wish I could remember the name of the tackle store in Terrace very helpful folks.

for tackle shops in Terrace look up Fish tales, Misty River or North Coast Anglers. You may have better luck traveling to Kitimat (45 mins) and bank fish the Kitimat river. Try contacting City Center Hardware in Kitimat for good info.
