Well, at least it wasn't a guy with a spinning rod. ::)

People must hate it when I come in behind them then...   :P

The attitude of all the guys with their new "pins" that now think they are better than everyone else makes me want to not fish my centerpins anymore :-\

Might be time to go back to being Levelwind Larry or Spinningrod Sam and pickup all the fish behind Centerpin Carl.

Woah guys, "levelwind larry" came out of pure frustration... Sorry to anyone I offended. No harm done.

Reminds me of Gumboot Garry and Tackle box Terry. Sure all the latest gear and tackle is nice, but doesn't mean others can't out fish you with what they have.

Ive gotten the head shake and the "you know they wont hit that this time of year" when I come in with my spinning set up a couple times now. Im still honing the spinning setup but did get the satisfaction of plucking a dime bright 12+/-lb wild out from behind 3 headshakers last year.

The only people you should be allowed to make fun of are spey rod Steve and fly rod Frank.

Water looks fine today

  • nothing like the first bite of the season

I feel sorry for the one dimensional angler.

Totally agree with you....I love fishing with my centerpin, but there's been days when I wished I'd brought my level wind instead. Try fishing 6 hours straight without stopping...your arms and wrist feel like lead after casting and retrieving hundreds of times...worse when you don't get a sniff.
