Stave Gong show
« on: October 09, 2007, 07:31:39 PM »

What a joke. Went to go hit my backyard flow yesterday and counted more than 60 cars on the trailer park side. Didn't even bother going to the park side. I was pissed. And it is still early for the good push of fish to enter the system. I bet it is all because some guy posted on a forum about some coho he apparently caught. Time for people to quit posting about success and let people learn and find the fish the way I did and many others on these sites. By putting in the time

I agree I have seen this same post now on 3 different forums. Most of the people here are members on the other forums.

Do a search on any of these forums on the Stave. Looks for posts in October and November. You will see you are not the first nor the last to complain about the gong show.... ::)

O, I truely love this one. I guess admitting you have no life is the first step.

That's odd. I thought the Vedder was going to be too coloured up to fly fish on Monday morning so I went to the Stave for first light instead. I didn't see any gong show going on. Mind you, I left before 9:30am after catching two nice Coho on a pale pink muddler. Coho are in the river.

Hijack alert...

Hey bbronswyk2000

Saw you and Milo walking into Wilson Road yesterday about 2:30 PM just as we were leaving.

The scary power of the internet is that I've never met you...yet I recognized you immediately :o

Don't worry about it Reib. The way the Stave has been fishing so far it's a good bet all the snaggers will get mad and not come back.
I chucked flies hard there for the past two days and only scored 4 black chum and 1 clean pink and I know what I'm doing; the snaggers haven't got a hope. To give you an idea of what it's like, I watched two guide boats get skunked yesterday.
