A Brief Update On The Vedder For Feb.17
« on: February 17, 2006, 04:52:01 PM »

As the winds were blowing so strong today decided to take a day off from fishing the Vedder and watch some of the Olympics that I have being missing because of so much fishing. Besides in mourning from losing Maple Leaf Drennan #1 yesterday. Will have to wait another day to try and land my 20 steelhead of the year. Of course this year has been one of the best in many years as some anglers I know have landed steelhead in the high thirties (numbers not weight  ;D)

Had a late breakfast with "The Master" who decided to slip out around 11. He filed a report later today and he was able to land a nice wild doe and lost another fish. Even though it was windy out there you could get some casts in between the gusts he said. He is a braver soul than I am. ;D
Needless to say not many anglers out but he saw another fish landed.

Hope the winds die down for the weekend anglers, but remember to dress warmly. Also leave the Drennans at home as they can break easily in this cold weather. :'( :(
