I believe there was issue last year about fishermen leaving garbage on the dock.

wow.... thats bad on our end.... as if we cant clean up after ourselfs so that this measure needs to be taken....

I havent been to this pier in atleast 3 years , however this is sad to see a i have many childhood memories of fishing on this pier....

I wish people can take care of there surroundings... seems silly that people actually harm nature when they are doing a sport that completely relies on it...

i second that motion...

while i havent ever caught fish that i was interested in keep or eatin on that pier ... thats where i was taught how to fish....

looks like a few sour grapes have ruined it for the bunch...

this is really really unfortunate as summer is comming and this was one of my favorite places to go for a after dinner walk and watch some youngsters faces light up when they caught flounders and bull heads... >:( >:(

Pier was damage during the wind storm...  They supposed to repair it before the spring break but did not get to it.  Last I heard was before May 1st. the pier should be fixed.

It is not the garbage issue...  edit :)

This is West Van we are talking about.  You can't have a clothes line outside or paint your house certain colours.  I would agree that it is good that we are talking littering seriously, but this is the wrong direction.  From the times i spent there as a kid, my guess is the individuals responsible didn't speak the language and still fish there.  Ruined it for the wrong people.

What are you talking about?  I see people, I mean all kinds of people, doing what I said they were doing.  It is not just the people "didn't speak the language".
