I had suggested this deposit to our MLA a year or so ago and will again.

Some of my fellow anglers laughted at me at the time so I will send them a copy of this. ;D

Yup ! Got my message from CG. Just like he said, Chris inquired into this idea several years ago. The fast food litter is a problem. Our local Tim Hortons owner recognizes the problem, but can't be responsible for every cup left on the River Bank. He is helping our Chilliwack Vedder River Cleanup Coalition in our 4 annual river cleanups by providing the coffee and donuts to our volunteers.

It sure would be nice if they could impose some sort of deposit on the cups.  You can bet that people would be bringing them back.  Maybe not the original drinkers, but someone looking for some extra cash would!

If they do start offering a deposit on the cups, don't tell CG  ;D He's got enough stuff in the back of his truck already  ;)

It's not me, I quit coffee.  Perhaps the Gov't should make a law making  all fast food wrappers, cups etc. biodegradable.  The problem with Tims cups is that they're not.  There is a company back east (Nova Scotia I think) that has found a way of recycling the Tims cups.
