You might be able to find some cutties to chase if they're surfacing.  It's freshet though so might not be the best time, you're best to wait till august or september.

Just got a Trident 13 angler, and I'm loving it. I mostly got it for fishing in osoyoos but I live in Ladner so I was wondering what was to be caught here.

The Trident 13 angler must be nice to fish from. ( prior post )
Was doing a web search on kayaks & noticed that there is a very good selection.
In fact so many companies building them it makes ya wonder which one to buy.
Some dealers will give buyers demos to try out thus they can narrow down the selection.

One kayak that got my attention mainly because of it's low costs but also on it's extreme stable nature.
One owner stated he tried to sway & rock from side to side & he could not get the kayak to flip over !!!
The kayak is called  " Frenzy" by Ocean Kayak.
44 reviews on the website : www.paddling.net gave the Frenzy kayak an average of 8.7 of of 10.

It is a sit on top model & aprox. 50lbs.
Not sure if a person can get options or equipment to make it a "fishing kayak" but as it is MAJOR STABLE it surely can be used for fishing.
Person just can use a small rod to do spin or bottom fishing.
Just drop an anchor from the bow or stern.
Or why not just troll a lure ,worm or fly.

The other day seen how some fish for sharks in the US. The fisherman will fish from the shore for sharks but to get his baited hook from the shore they will take their line out by a kayak.
Sometimes they will paddle out 300 yards & then throw the baited hook from the kayak.
Think if memory serves me correctly, the article talked about Texas shore fishermen.
( gee does Texas have coastline? Thought Mexico was bordering Texas. Have to check an Atlas )

If your thinking of getting a kayak & your a beginner this Frenzy sounds like a good choice.

--I use a freedomhawk..split tail can be deployed for extra stability.. like training wheels for stand up casting...our local scotty makes a lot of attachments specifically for kayaks so no problem adding bling.
