Winter steelhead fishing is now in full swing in the Lower Mainland. Anglers have been enjoying some catches up to 10lb lately. Is steelhead fishing new for you? Berry's Bait and Tackle will be offering steelhead fishing clinics in February. Novice and experienced anglers alike will benefit in their pursuit of both Steelhead and Salmon from these clinics. The 7 hour clinics consist of 3 hours of "in classroom" instruction and 4 hours of "on the water" instruction. The instructor is Peter MacPherson, who is a very well-rounded river fisherman with loads of steelhead fishing experience. Peter has lived by and fished the Chilliwack River for many years. There are two clinics scheduled in February:
Classes will be held rain or shine, however if severe rainfall brings the river to an unfishable conditon, an alternative for the "on the water" portion will be arranged. The cost is $120.00/person (GST included). Registration is on a first come first serve basis, and payment in full is required when registering. Class size is limited to five students.
