"The Fraser, A Personal Perspective"
« on: October 27, 2014, 07:36:41 PM »

Dear River Advocates,  In the run-up to his November 6, 2014 induction into the Fraser River Hall of Fame at a gala event hosted by the Fraser River Discovery Centre in New Westminster, river advocate, paddler and Rivers Day Chair, Mark Angelo,  provides a personal perspective on the values of British Columbia’s mighty Fraser River in the attached short video.  His passion for his “home river” is something I think all river advocates can identify with.  Mark’s river travels are also the subject of the much anticipated feature film, RiverBlue, due out in 2015.

The YouTube link to the film clip entitled "The Fraser: a personal perspective" is http://youtu.be/h7CThp6u9bY.

Thanks again to all volunteers for your efforts with World Rivers Day (WRD) last month.  Next year’s WRD event will take place on Sunday, September 27, 2015.

With best wishes, Scott Denkers, WRD Communications.

PS. For those in the Vancouver area who might be interested in the Fraser Hall of Fame event, you can contact Cindy Sale at the Fraser River Discovery Centre at (604) 521-8401 or by email at csale@fraserriverdiscovery.org.
