Oil tankers will inevitably run aground  in Douglas channel , even with tug  boats piloting them.  Look at Roberts bank coal port where 2 tug boats piloting a  coal ship knocked down a huge conveyer belt into the ocean disabling the coal port. The same thing could happen in the Douglas channel area where the wind and waves are often extreme. Look at prince William sound in Alaska , they still haven't cleaned all the oil up.  No more pipe lines!
