you gut chuckers sure do like patting your own backs eh  ::) I was 1 for 1 on gear and so far still a giant goose egg on the fly. Hitting the water in the a.m. to remedy that though  ;D

Only 2 of those were on guts hook  ;D

Was a bit colored this morning with the freshet now starting but I saw 2 rods working the Diving Board run.

Headed out to the vedder early in the am with great anticipation.  Last week was perfect and although I didn't catch anything, I had a relaxing time fishing.  Took 3rd rd exit and as I went over the slough it was higher then I'd seen it in a long time.  Sadly freshet is in...  went over KW bridge to look and the water is high and dirty.  Guess that's it for a couple of months.

Looking just above the crossing.

I know it's quite high, but how is the vis?

The freshet has come so don't expect good conditions out there....only a week and a bit before the river is closed anyways

for those wondering...the river isnt that high, and its easily fishable with a fly.

Cheers man im glad to hear that. If anyone were to be in the area tomorrow evening (Friday) an update would be greatly appreciated as I would love to hit the water on Saturday for one last blast. Thanks again.

I was out there today and even though there was no fish the water was really nice. clarity was anywhere between 2 and 4 feet depending on what run you were in it seemed  ???

Was the vis increasing as you went downriver? I have noticed that the farther down you go the clearer it gets as the clay starts settling. Slower runs may also allow more clay to settle so it would appear clearer than a faster more turbulent run that is stirring everything up.

actually the canal was the dirtiest area which i found sort of weird. Water was pretty nice between the Cable run and Lickman runs.
