Trophy tackle
« on: September 26, 2015, 01:34:52 PM »

Anyone here deal with these guys? I've tried to get hold of them, left my contact info on voicemail and no response. Today their mailbox is full and won't take any more messages. I'm looking at placing a fairly large order (to me) of 100 spoons. IMHO a poor way to run a business.

Thanks for the tip but it's not worth buying from them. They are selling just the spoon blanks, hooks, swivels and split rings are all extra, here they are all included. Also it is US prices so after adding in exchange and taxes it would cost $132 more to purchase 100 spoons from the US than here.

Have you tried emailing him?  Mr Trophy Tackle offers excellent customer service to all his clients.  Many people on this forum have dealt with him personally, and will all tell you the exact same thing.  Until Monday, Mr Trophy Tackle as away for a little while on a fishing expedition, one of the many perks of running your own fishing business.  Therefore, he was away from the phone and computer, and unable to respond to his clients needs.

His website will tell you everything that you need to know, you can place your order through it..

In the future, if you decide to slander a man's business on a public forum, please think about it before you decide to post your negativity..

Tight lines..

I recently sent them an email. It took a few days but they did get back to me. Just use the address on their site.

In no way have I slandered his business. I have read what others have posted and decided to place a $500+ order. His website does not answer the questions I had, hence the phone message was left. There is nothing on his website or his phone answering machine to indicate his business is closed while he is away, a simple message would indicate this for his customers so they could contact him at a later date IMHO.

Last year I needed to find the center grub screw for a Winter Run CP reel. I emailed him at Redl Sports and sure enough he got back to me in a couple days. Then he found the grub screw and also sent me a center cap and the two little screws for that and either couriered or mailed them to me at no charge. Excellent service as far as I was concerned. He's probably just super busy this time of year. I'm sure he'll get to you soon.

I see your point, I just didn't think it was necessary to comment on how he runs his business.  Anyway, I am sure that he will fulfill any order that you place in the near future.  Hope it all works out for you..

Hi fisherforever.  I'm very sorry for the difficulty getting a hold of me.  I was in the bush without cell reception and very inconsistent internet access.  Please feel free to email any questions to info@trophytackle.ca or call me anytime after tomorrow at 604-780-3205.

Thank You

for Reiber and RJS, Trophy tackle has nothing to do with Redl Sports or Trophy XL. 2 different companies.
