Ucluelet, August 28th & 29th 2010
« on: August 31, 2010, 08:12:50 PM »

Fished this weekend with a buddy for two days on the Canadian Princess.
First day 3 lings and 2 halis and 1 spring between the two of us.
Day 2 = 4 springs

Lost many many more.

Good two days of fishing.

Pretty rough conditions. On each outing at least one person wasn't fishing because of sea sickness.

Don't stay onboard the Canadian Princess. Stay in the cabins on shore. Much more comfortable.

I have to agree with Fish Assassin the cabins are very small , there are wooden bunk beds and if you are over 5'5 you will hit your head when you sit up .

Cabins onboard the ship are marginal, but they are still OK.  Was there last week, brought home one Hali and two Springs.  Fishing was OK.  Reminds me of shoulder to shoulder fishing on the Fraser with lines getting tangled up.  Good time and well worth the $$.  Will go again next year.

Definately would do this trip again especially with friends who might not be fishermen. Jigging for bottom fish and springs is a fun and easy way to catch fish.  I stayed in the beach house and it was very spacious. Only thing missing from the rooms was a fridge.

Would advise that you take some gravol before you go if you are not used to the rough water.
