I was guessing it was Scotland when I read it.  I for one would be interested in reports and pics. Salmon and Trout in other parts of the world fascinate me.

Yep, no licence required.  Probably going there in a year or so (my family is planning way ahead) and want to fish the Forth and the Tay, then up to the Spey.  I'm not familiar with the fishery there so if anyone knows specific beats that are worth visiting, I am very interested to hear from you.
