More good stuff from Mr. Reid ;D  I particularly liked this statement ...  The commonly accepted number of fish in the sewage department is: 3–10 fish equal the sewage of one human being. Hard to believe, but check it on Google.
Well, I did Google that and of course got jack squat, other than that statement.
I've raised a few fish in my time .. have a pretty good idea of what they excrete.  I also have a peek in the toilet when I pass a log ...

Give us a break bud.

Just to add to what Reid wrote …  would he consider the excrement of the predicted large return of the Shuswap component of Fraser sockeye and Columbia chinooks and, last year's record pink return, to be polluting our pristine ocean?
When humans flush the toilet more than feces, urine and paper go down; consider that all the non-utilized medications taken by so many (my wife alone has six daily pills), antibiotics, oral contraceptives, known endocrine disruptor's, etc, etc, all end up in our oceans.  Consider what Victoria alone flushes away.   But where I live, Chilliwack, all this stuff is in the Fraser River before it even enters the modern day solution to pollution – dilution.
Comparing pollution from BC and Washington State salmon farms to the problems we humans are causing is ludicrous and shows just how weak the anti-salmon argument is becoming.

Rant over.
