Fish farms have killed so many wild salmon that the few that are left have a lot more food and can grow bigger.

the move to boycott farmed fish is also related to the fact wild salmon tastes better and is better for you. Farmed salmon has a softer texture and has lower levels of Omega 3 fatty acids that are good for heart health. There is also concern about the exposure farm fish get to antibiotics and disease. Farmed salmon also requires feed that is usually taken from wild ocean sources that would not otherwise be harvested for human consumption and some consider this both wasteful and environmentally unsound in the long term.

Wow!!   Eddy really needs to educate himself before he becomes the Sto-Lo version of Don Staniford ... so many errors, so much hyperbole.  Embarrassing.

And moving across the world

"It was a good day as the momentum picked up with some 8 direct actions related to the Boycott here in BC.  In addition there were boycotts in Ireland and the UK.  Onwards we go to expand and become a force over which the Harper government and the corporations have no control.  We go straight to the consumers and motivate them to protect their well being, and at the same time, protect wild salmon and all this magnificent gift to the world offers." Eddie

Softshoesidestepsteve will be along soon ,claiming that lobster catches are at all time highs - except near the feedlots, as i pointed out from first hand accounts from friends and family that fish there and tell me areas near the "farms" are dead and no longer produce. But they did for generations before. I smell Steve- Wait for it, wait for it..........
