50 years ago the Canadian government finally recognized that smoking was bad for your health.... Seems ridiculous that anyone ever thought it was anything but unhealthy.
Seems to parallel the blinders that the government has on regarding the harm the salmon feedlots are causing wild salmon. The feedlot industry is using similar arguments to what the tobacco industry used, suggesting science has not proven that the feedlots are killing wild salmon.
Hopefully the government comes to it's senses and declares the feedlots are bad for the environment..... before it's too late.
