Title: salmon near Quadra Island ?

Helo ! I AM GOING TO Quadra Island for 3 days break, from 17-20th May! I wanna do salmon fishing, but have no idea where are they? so anyone here can share me the info that where can i find salmon and shrimps, and what gears should i prepare for? thank you very much!!

i have 0.5-2.5oz 12-25 IB Med.H and Abu 6500 c3. Is this good  enough for ocean salmon fishing ?

You are about a month or so early for coho runs; maybe trying jigging rockfish - great eating.

Any other good fishing @ quadra island around this season?  It's our first time to try fishing during May. We always go during July/August and fishing was always terrific! Any tips about fishing during this season would be greatly appreciated.
