I met Chris for the first time about three weeks ago as he came down to land a nice hatchery from the pool above. I tried taking a picture with his "touchy" digital camera to no avail. I think every one that reads his great reports and with his river etiquette should donate $10.00 in a jar at Fred's to purchase a new camera for him. I am fishing tomorrow ( never caught one on the Vedder ) and if someone local could set this up I will be one of the first to donate. Good or bad Idea?
Keep them coming and good luck on his new camera ( maybe waterproof )

Thanks but my wife has given me a good one for Christmas but have not figured it out yet. Too busy fishing? ;D ;D

I just upgraded from a "10lb" brick camera , it was only 1mp but was cheap and i didn't care if i dropped it in the river , Now i have a Canon A520 , and it is very nice , but I am now afraid of dropping it all the time . Iam going to have to rig up a system to keep it attached to my vest while out on the river . Anyway... enough rambling for me .

I just use my 1.3mp Motorola Camera phone, which takes a pretty descent picture, for a phone ;)

Camera phones are a waste of money in my opinion. They do not take quality pictures. You'll be better off having a disposal camera. It's just a sales gimmick to attract young consumers.

Hi James....the cheap route is to use some flyline backing or similar....quadrupal it tie thumb knotes evey 16 inches or so to bind them...then knot the ends....if ya start with about 8 ft...should end up with about a 2ft quad-25lb necklace....keeps yer cam on yer chest ready for a quik pic....'lil' more dear is to buy a roots cam case for about 12 bux....is a padded style case with a lanyard attached...hth....;))

Have you seen my pictures. Lynn Canyon; Nature Hike (http://photobucket.com/albums/e122/ResevoirDog067/Nature%20Hike/) they were all taken with my camera phone.
Precisely the reason why it's a waste of money.

I owend a camera phone for aprox 2 days. I had to sign up for a 3 year contract but the phone didn't cost me anything. Can't really see how that would be a waste of money.
