Title: Nucks back at it...
Post by: Spudcote on February 28, 2006, 09:31:59 PM
Well that was fun...we lose 3 of our best defencemen and still defeat one of the teams that has been troubling us for a while.

I sadly didn't get to see the game, but heard a lot about it.

Good to see the guys back at after a few weeks off.

Actually Spudcote, we were down 4 of our starting 6 d-men, Baumgartner was out as well.

One of the few games I get to watch and it was a gooder. I was very impressed by how disciplined our defenders were. I can only think of one blatant give away and that was by Naslund. Would have been nice if there were fewer penalties though, as the best hockey seemed to be 5 on 5.

Yeah, it was a good game and the best parts were when they were playing 5 on 5. My big complaint is the refs are calling way too many unnecessary penalties this year. Kinda kills the flow of the game. Seems Bettman wants to turn hockey into basketball with all the half court offense.

Well I didn't get to see it either, but from the highlights that I was able to see, the patched up defense didn't start that well, but got better as the game went on, and in the end got the job done!!  Nice the see the NUcks come back like they left off!! ;D
