so they did it again.....the canadian girls are the best in the world... nice
-
They steamrolled their opposition, just allowing 2 power play goals both by Sweden
-
I think the big winners are the Swedes......good on them to be the first threat from "over there"....;)))
mojo sees some competition comin' in 4 yrs....
-
They were absolutely superb!
-
you are right about Sweden.. nice to see
-
Yes the Girls were awesome!! At least the Swedes put up a bit of a fight!! But for some reason, with Canada only getting 26 shots, I think that they might have let off the gas with a 4-0 lead in the second!! I hope that Mojo is right though, it would be nice to have some compition in 2010!! ;) Would be great for women's hockey as well!! ;D

I think the girls eased off after the 4-0 lead, too. I think Canada and the U.S. will dominate again in 2010. It will take longer than 4 years to build better players in Sweden and other European countries. It takes a LONG time to build top notch hockey players and Canada and the US are at least ten years ahead of everyone else. It's especially difficult for the women's program because a lot of the best players retire early because they want to start families.

Well a real competition would be good. But not something like last winter olympics in the states. The competition is with the referees not team USA. ::)
