Post by: Reservoir Dog on February 26, 2006, 05:46:57 PM: just bought a couple of foam, and a package of corkies today. I also got a couple of cheap bright yellow foam things with a straw thru the center. They look like they might actually work.

Post by: DaN ThE MaN on February 26, 2006, 10:42:36 PM: Cork is heavier and seems more durable then balsa. Cork is my personal reference. But i have to admit i found a Drennen and used one for the 1st time..wow.. love the way they float and the sensitivity.

Yes...I have seen good sized pieces there but it is hellish expensive ! I'm thinking there must be a cheaper source of this stuff so that a float doesn't end up costing $10 ...otherwise I might as well buy Drennans.
