I suck at making these things work. Can anyone help?

Rodney would be the one to ask about that!! He will give a list of instructions!!
I know that the pic has to be on a website or have a url address. You would click on the picture properties, and write down the address exactly as it comes up. Then go to your profile, and click on " forum profile information ". Click the circle " I have my own pic" and right beside it there is a box!! That is where you type in the address to the pic something like this www.fishingwithrod.com/image/index07.jpg
After that hit the" change profile " at the bottom and your pic should pop up!! If you get a white box with a red x in it, then the address is wrong. Check it again and make sure that it is exact!! ;D ;D I hope this works for you.

Hey Rivan
Go to Photobucket.com, sign up then you can download your photos to an album. Then as BS said you need to copy exactly the url from the bottom line under the photo in your album into your personal profile.
This will make more sense when you see it, if not give me a call.
Cheers for now
David

You can also just pick out a random picture off the internet and use it as your avatar as many people do. Just copy the url of whatever picture you decide on and paste it in the area described by Big Steel where it says I have my own picture.

Nice fish Rivan. :) It looks like you got it. Before you had the URL of the large photo inserted, but I have changed the URL to the small version of it so it doesn't take up the whole page.
