Yeah, I love the grass and island one.  The roach.... not so sure.

Gonna be in Xian and Beijing for the next 7 days.  Will be a flood of pics after, if I can't get 'Net connection while there.

Glad you're enjoying the pics.

Happily the great Firewall of China allows FishingWithRod to come through.  As well as my blog site, and photo site.

I'm in Zhengzhou tonight and tomorrow.  Then Xi'an.

Pics from Ocean Park trip are up at the photo blog.

Cheers!

DS, looks like you've seen more scenic sites and taken a lot more pictures of HK, my home town, in a week than my 15 years there. I left in 73, and I can hardly recognize the place any more.  Too much new stuff.  Good for you. Enjoy the bounty that is HK & China. Have a safe journey.

Hi Dragon, very good photos and narrative.  Please keep them coming.  Maybe I should not ask but how many pounds have you gained?  Enjoy.

Hong Kong was good for keeping the weight off - LOTS of stairs.  The tour might be a bit tougher.  Every meal is a 12 dish meal.  Breakfast as well!

In Xi'An now.

If by night market, you are referring to Mong Kok.  It's crazy!  I only remember seeing one golf course.  Near Repulse Bay.  VERY expensive still.  Having a blast in Beijing now.

It may sound silly, but you got to go to have beijing duck at YA WANG, they have an outlet on Jianguomen Wai, near the 2nd ringorad and Chang'An. Eat some for me too, there no other place on earth that makes better duck.

Unfortunately no.  We were going to try and get out from around Hong Kong, but things have been so incredibly busy, so no fishing for me :(

The truth is that he is on a very strictly supervised field trip, and fishing is a no no. ;D If requested, he shall receive stiff penalty, ie. an exclusive diet of cockroach as seen in one of the previous photos. ;D

DS, you realize the chefs probably was inspired in the last minute when they saw those little critters running across the kitchen floor right? ;D :-\

The photos are excellent, I've always wanted to visit the Terracotta Warriors. :)

The field trip is coming to an end today (Thank God...it's exhausting.) Then 2 days shopping for souvenirs in HK, and back home!

If those roaches got that fat from the food around the kitchen, then it REALLY is scary!

Has it been quite warm?  Our Scouts are supposed to be going ice fishing up by Squamish this weekend.
