where is the best place to fish :-\

1) Where ever you catch them!
2) The exact place where you are fishing - YESTERDAY
3) The exact place you are fishing - with different bait
4) The little spot across the river that you just can't quite cast to.

:D

Can you be more specific with your question?  - And welcome to the Site!

Many of the lower mainland lakes get stocked regularly, and from what I understand Rice Lake will produce some fish during the winter.

Anyone else?

Green Timber is not bad but only after stocking (like most Lower Mainland Lakes anyway).

Personally I like Alice Lake though. Since it's a bit further, it's fish stock is not depleted as fast.

Como Lake has an age restriction; under 16 or over 65 years.

Fisherboy, welcome to the website. If you are asking about rainbow trout in the Lower Mainland, there are numerous lakes where you can try to catch them. The fishing is generally very slow in the winter months, but expect the fishing to be good in Spring, starting around April, when the lakes are stocked with rainbow trout by the Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery. Keep checking back on the website around April for updated stocking information. Some of the lakes with good shore access that you may want to try out with your friends and families include:

Alice Lake in Squamish
Rice Lake in North Vancouver
Trout Lake in Vancouver
Sasamat Lake in Port Moody
Buntzen Lake in Port Moody
Como Lake in Coquitlam
Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam
Green Timbers Lake in Surrey
Mill Lake in Abbotsford

Please check out this article (http://www.fishingwithrod.com/articles/2005/0605_03.html) for more information.
