Title: Deciding on a Fishfinder

Just trying to decide on a fish/depth finder for my boat.
 
Maybe I should post this in the gear section, but I thought some locals might be able to give me some good tips.
 
I've got a 12' aluminum that i'm planning to use all over (river, salt, lakes).
 
I've looked at the Eagle CUDA 128 portable
or the Eagle Fishfinder 240.
 
It was recommended that I should get a unit which is 300watts or more.  Both these units have over 300watts power Peak to Peak.  But not quite even 300watts RMS.
Should I really be concerned about that?
 
Any other things I should be looking at? or do they all pretty much do the same thing?

 I have used the cuda 128 portable for the last couple years and have been pleased with it, batteries seem to last a while and its nice to have something portable, also you cant go wrong with the price.

I do use the Eagle 128 Portable. I like the protable one as I can use it in my fly tube even though it is a bit bulky. If you use the chargeable Ni-Mh batterires they last quite a while and it is economical over the long term. You get excellent value on the charger & batteries in Costco. If you do not need it to be protable the 128 that hooks up to the battery is just as good if you already  have a battery for the electric motor.
